>CO2 is a trace gas even coming out of smoke stacks, can't be efficiently extracted
>it costs a lot more to extract CO2 from the atmosphere than it takes to extract fossil fuels
>it is more energy intensive to extract CO2 from the atmosphere than to extract fossil fuels
>natural carbon sinks are being destroyed faster than carbon capture technology can extract it
>emissions still rising with no plans on stopping far outpacing atmospheric extraction
Is this just a giant green bubble waiting to burst or is there some technology that can actually remove CO2 from the atmosphere efficiently enough to where even makes sense to use it over just protecting forests, the ocean and planting trees?
