Also because Scandanavia and the Baltic are the heart of Europe. In an ideal timeline, we would be living under either the Swedish Empire or the Polish Lithuanian Empire.
It's not just about the language itself, but the culture and history that go along with the language. Much of Scandinavia and the Baltic weren't even fully Christianized until the 1700s. We have lost a lot of historical, traditional, and indigenous European culture due to the ascent of both Christianity and Anglophone culture, both of which are extremely materialistic, individualistic, anti-intellectual, and anti-science.
