Would it be interesting if I recorded all my n-back exercises to track how much I improve over time?
I only did it a couple times so can still start

It would be more interesting if you recorded your performance in another working memory exercise, then played n-back for a while (record this however you wish), then go back to the original exercise to see if there was an improvement

Should compare with exercises that are actually intellectually stimulating. Such as solving physics or math problems. Or even other memorization exercises such as spaced repetitions using software like anki. This has the added benefit of actuallly making you learn thing.

It's really nice. But like every other mental training exercise, it only works if you are really trying at it.

If you want a really good memory then supposedly the "mind palace" technique is king, you might benefit from looking that up
