The only way to get the situation under control is to install draconian rules on the society and basically put the women back into the kitchen. But at the same time no individual wants that for themselves so people tend to move into countries with as liberal policies (or at least influence their own society to be more liberal) as possible from the countries that could save you from dysgenetics, then said dysgenetic countries use their higher resources to cripple the traditional ones. You can only have progress in the absence of freedom and even when everyone wants progress, everyone will choose freedom for themselves which drowns them in their own stupidity.
Basically as the world grows smaller with technology the spread of ideas and ability to move have lowered the bar for social revolution to the extent where maintaining well functioning societies is becoming more and more impossible. Only very radical policy and environment changes can fix things at this point and even there you are limited to very small subset of possible fixes since most are disabled by default.
>>13677441Having more children is basically a stress reaction, the better things are the less children you have, this is true for all societies across the earth. So it would really be opposite of what you describe there. If you cut out welfare then the poor and dumb will simple make more children because that's what people do when they can't sit in their home with their playstation all day. If you want a certain group that you like not to have children then you need to give them more welfare, not less.
