Programming, math, algorithms, logic, basic hardware stuff, building an OS project, theory of computation.

The university you go to for it matters a lot. Some universities have terrible CS courses that are basically IT. I ended up wasting time because I didn’t know this and had to transfer to real CS course.

Depends on how much you enjoy it obviously. If you want to go into research and you cant get into a PhD, do a masters.

Seriously consider applied math with a minor in CS unless you go to a top CS program and even then consider it. The only class that is really interesting is data structures and algorithms. I'm currently taking a software engineering capstone course and one on AI. The capstone is designing UML charts and learning about software development. The AI course I am underprepared for since it uses a lot of math. AI is the future though and to be a part of it you'll want to git gud at it.
