Hello /pol/tard here. I'm looking for information on the long term / lasting effects from contracting COVID. I remember at the beginning of this pandemic there was lot of talk of how if you got covid you had a high chance of never fully recovering. Has anyone be tracking this? I used to use a search engine to find things but those days seem to be gone now.

My second question is

How does the vaccine provide immunity from the virus while getting the virus itself does not provide you immunity?
To me that seems counter intuitive because I'd think both should achieve immunity.

Any help and information / sources to help me understand is appreciated.
