>>13670139Become a stoic. If you can not only learn to revel in the pain life dishes out, but incline yourself to it, you'd be more satisficed for if. I suppose it boils down to: would you rather acquire wealth for the sake of an easier life, or take the difficult path as so to learn from it; build character and resilience from choices taken.
Wearing less than comfortable clothing. Refraining from eating expensive or exotic food. Only buying what you makes sense and ghetto fixing anything that is still functional (patching clothing, duck taping broken items, nailing broken furniture back together, etc.). Simply, spend as little money as possible; even if you have the money to spare.
After I started earning decent money for the first time in my mid to late 20's, I became so use to my previous life that I retained it. I'd soon learn money earned meant either more frivolities, or more free time. I choose the latter. I would do without a bigger tv, or slightly better computer. I much prefer my freedom. Not only that, but I started to enjoy living the meek lifestyle. Your brain goings from thing of all the latest-and-greatest device your slave wage dollars can buy, to: how can I spend all my new found freedom? When you stop worrying about the decadences of life, and more so on the tasks at hand, life becomes far more enjoyable.
