I don't thin so. In calculus and differentials you have clear procedures to follow and you can verify your answers easily in program. It's not the case in statistics

stats is like combinatorics i suppose in that its problems were interesting enough so techniques were developed for solving them but the theory behind the methods is a lot more subtle than other fields so its difficult to see as a coherent picture. I think areas like that are very inviting for new research because there is so much to be done.

Stats requires imagination and experience to apply properly. There isn't a universal way to approach a problem that involves stats, that's why it's hard for extremely logical autists to apply it unlike other shit. I personally enjoy stats/probability the most because of this.
