>>13667794Physicists don't understand shit about classical physics anymore, even those doing research in classical physics don't fully comprehend fundamental concepts like entropy. Their undergrads waste way too much time doing pointless hand computations using baby analysis and perturbation theory. They also don't work hard enough in general (they take far too few modules, move too slowly in the ones they do have etc.).
It's also not a matter of good vs. shit unis as evidence by the Prof. who actually lost the best. The entire field relies on ego for preserving its reputation in the job market when they should just be reforming the curricula to actually spend time learning real classical Physics before moving on to learn about the faculty's latest pet theory.
