If the conveyor belt is perfectly matching the speed of the wheels that means the plane cannot be moving.

If the plane moves relative to the ground (and consequently the air) the plane's wheels must be outrunning the conveyor, which the question states is impossible.

What would be likely to happen is that the conveyor and the wheels would very rapidly speed up until the friction losses on the wheel bearings/tires matched the force of the engines, however likely well before this point the gear would over speed and be destroyed since this is far too much energy for the bearings/tires.

Yes, but it would go straight up reletive to the airspeed so it wouldn't have the lift to sustain flight and it would come back to the ground. It's a really complex mathematical solution, I wrote my thesis on this.

Literally pretend the plane would be sitting on ice and someone had spun the wheels up to 5000 rpm.

The planes wheels will be in motion but planes dont take off from motion, they take off from the lift caused by air passing beneath wings. There will be no lift as the plane is essentially stationary when referenced from the air around it.

I believe the treadmill will pull in air under the plane via friction. Also the plane's engines will help a slightly by moving air in the right direction. It becomes more of a question about the speed the wheels can withstand, the treadmill and atmospheric factors.

There can be more than one speed, in this case rotational and translational. If using rotational causese a paradox but translational does not then it is only logical to assume that translational is the correct interpretation.

With the conveyor moving at the same translational speed in the opposite direction the wheels will rotate twice as fast but their translational speed is the same as the rest of the aircraft.

thrust is coming from the engines pushing the air, no matter what speed the wheels are moving at the plane will move. the speed of the treadmil will never overcome the speed of thrust. unless the plane was never aerodynamically capable of flight in the first place.

When I first thought about it the answer felt obvious but now its all unspooling. I love stuff like this.

I think its down to the friction of the wheels. The weight and thus friction of the plane on the belt allows the conveyor to pull backward on the airplane body, even if it's through the wheels. Its like drag, but its not infinite.

The thrust of the engine needs to overcome the max drag/friction of the wheels. If the plane manages to leave a static state, it will be able to accelerate.

i think i've solved it, the contact point of rolling body has zero velocity, so the wheels at contact with the belt have zero velocity, so the belt wouldn't move, so it would be like a normal runway so the plane would take off normally

That's an impossible statement. It can only be accomplished if there is no force causing the plane to move besides the wheels. With any other forces (such as trust from the engines) the belt literally cannot make the wheel speed

Either you have a cute puzzle with tricky wording, or you have an absurd situation where you can start imagining the conveyor alone generating enough wind to loft the plane.

For a real laden 747 this would be impossible to build such a treadmill in the real world and it also has to assume frictionless bearings on the planes wheels -- But if you could - the turbines pull the plane through the air the wheels spin freely. The treadmill spins the tires backwards, but is helpless to old back the plane from inching forward slowly, gaining speed and eventually taking off.

Yes it would. "Matching" implies that the wheels had that speed before the belt had it, therefore the wheels are spinning faster and faster and the belt is catching up. That's why they can spin at the same speed but the plane will still move forward. The plane would move forward and reach lift speed if it were suspended in a magnetic field; that's functionally similar to the situation with the wheels.
