>>13665699Time. Medication helps a little but but much. Eventually I snap out of it, but it can take years. The best advice I have is to try to explore whatever sparks anything that reminds you of the way you once felt interested in things and force yourself to give it a try. Go buy that book or explore a new hobby. Go to a meeting or get drinks with a meetup about said interest. Do things with any friends you still have, but don't let them force their interests on you. You need to practice motivating yourself to do what you want again. Cut back on the screen time if possible. Turn on a phone bedtime routine nice to keep from getting distracted when you should be sleeping. Talk therapy doesn't do much for me personally, but it may help you think of better approaches to dealing with doomer thought patterns and other issues in depression.
