The reason gorillas have small penises is because if you have a big penis and get into a fight, the other gorilla has a better chance of grabbing and ripping off your penis, rendering you infertile and unable to pass on your genes even if you win the fight.
So for gorillas, larger penises are dysgenic and have been filtered out of the genepool.
