Aren't all properties technically extrinsic? I mean think about it, mass is an intrinsic property of all matter, but say we take a single electron and isolate it from all other electrons and matter, does it still have mass???? How can it have any properties unless we find another property to relate that property to? How could you measure it? You wouldn't have anything in reference to it to take any sort of measurment. The measurment itself, whatever number we assign, might be arbitrary, but its still able to tell us something about the object. How can it exist at all without the ability to exchange/transfer information??? Or am I just thinking about this all wrong? Please, I am on a genuine search for truth here and am open to critique or other opinions.
