I am vaccinated with Moderna 2x. I'm not an antivax, but I'm questioning the strategy.
Seems like it is a legitimately bad idea to half-ass roll out a leaky vaccine that wanes with time in the middle of a pandemic. You inevitably create evolutionary pressure for the virus and variants to avoid the vaccine, maybe be more contagious and may or may not be more deadly. Same way that if everyone take antibiotics you make antibiotics resistant bacteria.
On the contrary, if you hoard the vaccine, until a D-Day when the whole world is suddenly vaccinated at once then you create herd immunity that might stamp out the virus. Else, you just let the virus to evolve into more benign endemic version, as if the virus is too aggressive it would JUST'ed its host and itself while a more benign variant got to spread more easily.
