Men are inherently valueless at birth. They are defined by what they do in life, not who they are. One man can impregnate an entire population of women.
Women have inherent value at birth. They are defined by what they are (they have a uterus and limited eggs). A woman can bear children at a fixed minimum cyclic interval and have a limited amount of viable eggs.
Now you can slice it any way you want but reproductive biology dictates the psychology of the sexes primarily.
