>>13657654Because it (usually) contains a foundational lie (or more charitably, fallacy), the belief in the reality of a deity, which is elevated to a serious importance within a given human culture. This is socially accepted in order to go along to get along, and the root problem is never fully rooted out, because, unfortunately, human beings are wired for belief in a deity because it goes to the human need for storytelling, to cope with the world.
The positive health effects of prayer, human community in a shared culture (the given religion) etc further compound the problem because they reinforce and protect the foundational lie. A lie anywhere is an inconsistency which threatens the entire system, as human beings cause suffering to each other for the unwarranted and pathological reasons which are foundational of their myth (belief in god, jesus, mohammed, communism, etc).
The solution requires augmentation of the human being so that he becomes literally inhuman, and superior to the human so that he can be at peace without god. Only then will there cease to be a basic inconsistency in psychology and sociology which has dogged humanity since its birth.
