I'm the guy who used decision theory a month or two ago to prove that finding a gf is pointless. The thread got like 300 replies before some seething janny decided to remove my marvel, because decision theory isn't /sci/ enough. Although I had correctly assessed that the probability is too low to make the pursuit worthwhile, it isn't 0. This is proved by countless examples, including the fact that I just had sex with my gf.
