hello /sci/, /diy/ here.
I have a what I suspect is a simple problem I just don't know how to do.
I'm shopping for a new dedicated air compressor for an air assist line, and I'm just trying to figure out how much CFM I need for the single task, because I want to get the compressor as small as possible (so it's quieter)
the only thing I need it to do is let air flow through a 3/16" ID hose at 20-25 PSI
I need that airflow to be maintained without interruption, I don't care if the compressor runs nonstop to accomplish that.
TLDR what is the CFM of an 3/16" hose with one end open, and the other end being supplied 25 PSI, what about 20 PSI, better yet what's the formula?
