Chinese real estate companies, especially Evergrande, used shady business practices to bypass policy. Expect a change in policy and fines/punishments instead of bailouts, and a long term cascade effect on SOME global markets. Most of the negative windfall would impact just China.

Like the thread details, foreign materials suppliers to Chinese developers will obviously take a hit.

Stupidity can be said to drive the capitalist market. The issue is adjusting to change. Centralized stuff strangely results in boom/bust as well. Probably something in relation to tanking multiple sectors. or maybe political tanking goes hand in hand.
