>>13650365Being covered in spikes, a hard shell, camouflage, etc.etc. would be helpful too, wouldnt it. The rule of evolution is 'whatever is good enough'. If a species can generally survive and have their numbers continue on with what they have, thats all they'll get. So the aquatic animals with only eyes in their front, sure they'd get sneaked up on and gobbled up by someone behind them - but apparently that wasn't that much of a big deal to this species. They can continue on regardless of some being sneaked up on.
