Hundreds of industries across the world pollute and contaminate just by existing, but they only focus on this one, one the reasons being that it's against their political agenda (private space = bad).
Check out how much they now complain about Tesla and electric vehicles. 10 or 15 years ago every person preach about them and it was the best thing ever. Now all of a sudden e-vehicles are BAD for the environment because... it's not a 100% solution, therefore BAD. And then you get where those shitty conspiracy theories come from, like the tesla child slaves, Bolivian coup, emerald mines, etc etc.
If Elon were to create a vaccine company tomorrow it wouldn't surprise that a lot of them will suddenly become antivaxxers, which they hate today.
