Like, yeah, there could be a boltzman brain out there who sustains its quantum flux by piggybacking off the sensation of pain or something, but like... Why? Cows aren't so smart but they certainly feel pain, but their brain is totally different from ours. So while technically possible, it seems like the energy expenditure required to cause the suffering would far outweigh the energy gain from quantum flux.
