>>13637841the little squiggle i said i think is just an electron that got ionized off an atom in the cloud chamber by the big track that goes from bottom left to top right. basically if you stare hard enough you can see the wiggly track branches off from that big track, and i think you can see the big track bending a little to the left, which is why the wiggly one starts off going slightly right of the big track. in a cloud chamber it is definitely not rare for high-momentum particles to have a relatively hard collision for a gas atom in the chamber and to ionize off a (relatively low momentum) electron, and electrons make wiggly short tracks like that.
it does not look like the wiggly track actually goes back into its parent big track. the track stops short. plus, in 3D it probably is going “in” or “out” which of course you don’t see in the photo. so it doesn’t “attach”
the fact that there is another big track that appears to go right near is almost certainly a coincidence
