At which point it would start losing mass, sapping its rotational energy until it reaches a healthy equilibrium

There’s something I don’t understand. From an outsiders perspective, shit never crosses the event horizon right? It gets redshifted to nothingness. And from the the perspective of something falling inside, everything outside speeds up. Time dilation. And a blackhole has a crazy long but still finite lifespan. How does anything ever reach the center?

Right but it's because photons from the horizon or below never reach them, not because time has fully stopped for what's falling.
Time does go slower in stronger gravity so a guy inside the horizon is going to think stuff below him is slowed down, but it's a finite effect all the way down to the singularity at which point no one knows what happens. My money's on an infinitesimal layered sphere with everyone falling forever because whoever fell in before you hasn't hit the singularity yet.

That's death though. Time simply stretches infinitely, everyone else has moved on but you are still in your moment of death, infinitely approaching it. Prove me wrong
