Assuming all things perfect. would a 747 be able to take off of a treadmill that matched its speed?

The treadmill can't keep the plane in place unless it goes fast enough that the friction in the bearings on the wheels is the limiting factor.

This doesn't mean the plane can't move just that the wheels wont turn.
The plane moves forward and the treadmill matches it's speed so the wheels never turn while the plane still builds enough airspeed to take off.

Any thrust that would over wise make the plane roll forward is negated by the tread mill.

it would be tricky because there would be no way to drive it and align it properly prior to take off, but if it's brought to alignment then yes - thrust from the turbines works fine without tyre traction

Lift is generated by the wings which require air to move over and under them. The plane on a treadmill isn't moving in any direction. The wheels aren't even connected to anything. How stupid are you OP?

The midwitbusters failed to conduct the experiment correctly. The plane is moving before it takes off. The whole point of the conveyor belt is to never let the wheels turn. They picked 1 speed to drive the truck. The plane eventually over took that speed and gained the ground speed required to get some pressure under the wing to take off.

Yes it does, because the only way the treadmill can match the speed of the wheels is if the plane doesn't move forward. If it doesn't move forward, it doesn't take off.

No it's not. If a string pulls the plane forward the the treadmill cannot be perfectly matching the speed of the wheels. Therfore according to the problem, the plane is not moving forward.
