Yes if you have impaired vision, correcting it will make you do better on task that require vision.

DUH. OBVIOUSLY if your vision is good there's no point in wearing glasses. I'm talking about someone like me who doesn't always wear glasses but needs them to see better. People tell me if I wear glasses my vision will get worse but I tend to feel better and smarter when wearing glasses and this justifies wearing glasses.

So wrong.

That's not the reason. The reason they suffer from myopia at higher rates has to do with the excessive usage of their near-vision.
