>>13631796This virus was a wake up call to necessary oversight in the medical industry. The problem is that oversight isn't cheap and it can be lengthy.
Plus adding liability to these companies could negatively impact the development of better vaccines.
I understand why doctors push the vaccine regardless of the risk, because the more covid there is out there, the more strains develop.
Even if the current strains aren't black death tier, soon they will be if the rate of transmission and mutation isn't kept in check.
But unfortunately people are either in two boats:
> use the current treatments blindlyor
>ignore the treatments full stopI despise both of these attitudes. We're not too far from workable vaccines, but there's just not enough oversight to finally push the system into developing a better method.
The fact that health departments are ignoring genotoxicity and mutagenicity (which I think is strange to ignore) too easily. Theoretically it might be highly unlikely to cause issues, but that doesn't mean there's no need for observation or testing in this department. I think testing for cancerous gene mutation should be a consideration (that is, assuming the testing can be done quickly enough, which I have a feeling is impossible and why this isn't done).
But then to have people promote more simple chemicals as an alternative (such as those promoting the horse dewormer) is also outrageous. Clearly the process is far too indirect and too "brute force" to be an adequate method for something that mutates. There's bound to be health issues with it.
I don't like being dragged or portrayed as merely either side for this by disagreeing with either process as is.
