Regardless, nothing changes that the interstellar medium that eventually condenses into solar system is very hydrogen rich, with traces of heavier elements. So you have a mass of cooling hydrogen condensing into a planet, some oxygen, enough of an atmosphere for it all to not evaporate, and voila.
