>>13619883You need to create more neural connections, you do this by learning to do new things.
Unironically play video games.
Learn to play fighting games, learn their combo systems
Learn how to open up enemies, learn how to psych your opponents into behaving a certain way, etc.
Then try another genre.
Play puzzle games like Adventure of Lolo on the NES, or even better, Baba is You.
Don't look up solutions unless you're really stuck. Sleep on it first, wait for a solution to come to you.
Then try learning other stuff.
Learn how to solve the Rubik's cube.
First use a no-memorization method.
Build the cross, the corners, then 2nd layer and then use a permutator like LDL' to fix the corners (there are guides online on no-memorization methods).
Then try the CFOP method, even with just 2 look OLL. Try to get under a minute, then under 30 seconds.
Then try to learn the Roux method. Do a few solves with it.
Then try something else.
Learn to program if you don't already.
Try to make some simple programs, like tictactoe, or minesweeper.
Then try to make a functional site, like with server side stuff.
Try to learn how to design a database that will hold all user's logins, password hashes, try to make it a forum, try to design a table that will hold their posts, the try to add a moderation system, adding moderator access to certain users, allowing to ban a user by post etc.
Solving all these problems will get your brain thinking in new ways you've never even thought before, crating these new neutral connections makes it more powerful even in other problems and applications.
Then do something else again.
Learn something new, something that looks hard.
Be an autodidact.
