I found this map on Wikipedia, it shows the distribution of Hominidae family.
Is this a mistake? How come the inhabitants of central Africa don't pass as Homo sapiens? And not just that they're not presented as modern humans, they are also presented as gorillas and such, I found it really derogatory. Is this true?

If you're talking about the picrel, they're not doing bad in terms of IQ compared to the rest of the world.
If you're talking about Africans, yes I can definitely see the correlation, still I'm unsure about societal implications of this and it was such a mindblow for me to find out that they're scientifically classified as members of Gorilla and Pan genus, not Homo

There's no accurate map because nobody has been autistic enough to test most countries. Lynn's work is a mish-mash of cherrypicking and averaging various tests ranging from the 1930s and 1940s to the present. Most countries in Lynn's sample are either averages of their neighbours or non-representative, cherry-picked studies. You can't seriously believe that a test taken on an isolated tribe in the Belgian Congo in the 1950s is representative of modern Congolese.

You don't have to be autistic to do it, it's fairly simple. If nothing, you could also use already existing data from IQ testing websites, there are hundreds of them and yes most of them are probably bullshit, still you could find enough legitimate material to compile a simple map based on average values.
If it's true what you're saying and no one has done it yet, it could only be because everyone is afraid of societal implications such findings could present.
It's far more likely however that accurate enough ones exist already and most people decided to dismiss them as inaccurate because they don't want to face the uncomfortable truth.

It's not simple at all. The tests would need to be representative of the country, taken in situ, weighted by geographic area and social class, and corrected for the Flynn effect depending on the year they were taken. For the nearly 200 countries around the world, that's a lot of funding you would need.

There's no such data, and if there were, it would be biased upwards since in many countries only elites have internet access.

I meant that the ones showing China in purple are usually based on 1990s internet tests. Very few Chinese had internet in the 1990s, even today it's only half of the population. So it would be upwardly biased.

Tests taken in rural Chinese communities give very different results.

No, I'm saying Lynn cherrypicks the data. African countries have samples from uncontacted jungle tribes and illiterate children all the way back to the 1950s while China has samples from 1998 tests taken by elite kids over the internet. That's literally cherrypicking.

That map you posted is not from 2020, it's just Lynn's 2002 "IQ and the Wealth of Nations" map with a 2020 sticker pasted on the corner. It's this map right here. I know them all and recognize them at a glance.
