For instance: credits. I am doing 43 credits this semester. Here, that means 43 hours a week spent in class. That is 11 subjects for me.
But when i talk to an american, they often say they are doing 10 credits, 3-4 classes. Why is that? Are classes harder? More homework? Longer books to read? I don't understand.
My introduction to biochemistry class was 2 credits, so one 120 min class each week. The intro book is 550 pages, the "i am actually taking this class seriously and want more than just to pass" book is 1280 pages. Homework is optional. Are american classes worth 2 credits harder than that?
