We probably was naturaly divided from apes, and evoled so that 2 pairs of chromosomes joined to be out 2nd chromosome. After that we could not breed with apes even if we was not divided by the enviroment, and we could evolve i a different way. There are many genes that can be simmilar to apes, or differentiate us from apes. Just looking at chest-hair does not show us the big picture.
