That doctors somehow have a good grasp on basic science or statistics.
Most things physicians shit out into their various journals would make any math or physics undergrad cringe with how they rape statistics.

One of the most black pilling things about going into STEM is how easy it is for people to torture a data set to fit a narrative. And I can’t really say shit because there are projects at work I went to seek funding for and by god if I didn’t tweak my assumptions and parameters to support me getting that money.

That mindset is literally taught in lab classes. Without fail, everyone who tampers with their data gets a higher mark. They give you a horrible experimental setup with 20-50+ year old shitty equipment, tell you to follow the experiment exactly as it's laid out, then dock marks from you if your results don't look ideal.
I've done experiments where we had three data points and were told to make a line of best fit and use this to make a conclusion.

I've never heard anyone say anything like that about F1 drivers being engineers and physicists or cooks being chemists. There are people out there that would be 100% serious while saying things like

Lmao as a med student myself you NEVER read from these huge textbooks unless you have to do some essay or presentation.
You literally just study the most popular book written for students.
I have a copy of Harrison's principles of Internal Medicine (4000 pages) laying around but I have read maybe 5 or 10 chapters of it.
Most med students are annoying as fuck and really believe this "saving lives" bullshit.
Unless you are in Emergency Medicine or Trauma Surgery you probably aren't even saving lives.
