it increases by $25 for every 3lb, so 25*x/3
But 3lb is $50, not $25, so you have to add another $25 to start.

Anything with f(3)=50 and f(6)=75 will do.

y-y1=m(x-x1)
let (x1,y1)=(3,50) and (x2,y2)=(6,75)
let m=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)=-25/-3=25/3
plugging in
y-50=(25/3)(x-3)
y=25x/3+25
