I think the bigger barrier here is accelerated aging of a human. Is there a way to make an adult woman in less time than it currently takes. Obviously they wouldn't have an education or whatever but given the application as biologically based sexdolls I don't think it matters. Same would apply to lifespan here as well.

If this question was answered at that point I don't even think legality would be relevant at that point because they could be so conditioned and modified for compliance and servility they'd be essentially pets, and they would be so easy to make (artificial wombs are basically ziploks with a breathing machine attached) buying a catgirl kit on the deepweb would be...possible if ethically dubious at best. We've already done this with goats and domesticated dogs already exhibit the behaviour with some of those genes carrying over to humans, the only real thing preventing this from becoming a near term reality is the inconvenience of raising what is essentially your daughter.
