>>13609096>Even American suburbs aren't this bad.I wouldn't go this far, they're different types of cancer. Commieblocks are simply meant to provide cheap housing for a big amount of people in small areas, and they excel at this job. The obvious disadvantage is the density of people and small living area, however when compared to American suburbs, there is actual city planning. In addition to those blocks, they build schools, libraries, shops and other services. All of that within walking distance to your flat.
>No gardens, not even any treesThey've just finished the construction of few buildings. If you look closer, you can see small trees planted there. They'll grow, but it takes time but if you're not patient, you have a vast forest right next to you.
Meanwhile, in those suburbs you have bigger living area, but you're surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands of houses with nothing else in close area. From my point of view it's good for retired people but living there as a young person and commuting to work (or driving kids to school) each day must be, to say lightly, tiresome.
Everything in life needs a balance.
