if you need quick scripts to do number manipulations, haskell is the true easiest to write those in
python's only good use is for education
(and before you get your nipples in a twist, yeah that's what I'm getting at, pick your language according to context, when people talk about bad languages, it's usually because a significant portion of people use it in the wrong context)
