I wonder if I can reinforce wakefulness by doing some Pleasant or Energizing thing only after n+1 hour blocks of being upright. So eventually my body will learn that being upright and awake will lead to intrinsically pleasant things? (music, food, some browsing, whatever). Maybe I can do this with some alcohol. Then on the other hand, when I’m so tired I have to lay down, maybe I can lay down and then think about negative consequences of sleepiness without any fantasy. This would be to punish the behavior of daytime sleepiness.
I’m actually having a really hard time finding anything online about reinforcing daytime wakefulness because everything I search is about insomnia.
