Physicists are positivists, and this is simply not a positivistically meaningful question. Virtually no physicist outside of popsci spends time thinking about this question (it isn't a question), at least not in the way that you think they do.

Well the reason it is not intuitive is because of what intuition is. Intuition is that you have seen things around you and how these things behave, and so you can subconciously make predictions on how things will behave. If something rolls of a table you know it will fall, because you have seen it a thousand times.
We only have intuition for the things we can see. The world of the quantum is a world you can not directly observe. So naturally it has the posibility of being counterintuitive.

I never said you can't observe it. I'm not talking about the whole "observation changes the outcome" thing. That is kind of a misunderstanding. What i'm saying is the world of the quantum make atoms, and many many atoms together constitute the smallest things we can see. Intuition comes from the things we see every day, and we do not see the behavior of quarks or electrons directly every day. We see the resaults of said behaviors, the mater they make, but we do not see the behaviors themselves.

Kind of right, kind of wrong. We cannot, in most cases, directly observe quantum effects; however, from experiments and conjectures, we have derived useful principles that we can apply to the macroscopic scale (ie transistors, lasers)
