>>13603415Haven't really followed the Ivermectin research, but a substance doesn't necessarily need to be directly antimicrobial to serve as an antimicrobial, so to speak. For example, a substance that could bind to SARS-CoV-2 to prevent cell docking wouldn't directly inactivate it, but it would still reduce its replication. Ivermectin is also supposedly a zinc ionophore, which would be another mode of action where it's not directly antiviral.
