As for the best one I have come up with, in responce to a friend that believes the moon landings were fact I started responding that the moon isn't even real and it's just the back of the sun.

Yeah I get that. You spend enough time around ‘academics’ and you’ll realize they have the same mindset as the ‘joke’ subconsciously. Only mainstream science that is accepted is done in academia, so they’re interchangeable terms.
