It wouldn't matter even if your thought process was rational (protip: for the most part, it won't be), because your brain will be constantly misinterpreting raw sensory input in the pre-conscious processing stages. Maybe you think you could logic yourself out of hallucinated events because they'd be incoherent, but that's false because:
1. Unless you're a brainlet, you're gonna hallucinate plenty of things that make perfect sense
2. Unless you're a brainlet, you're gonna have the easiest time of your life making plausible sense out of things that apparently make none
