Just stop coping. Isn't it obvious that selection pressures in modern society aren't as strong as they were before the invention of agriculture? How do you think human brains got selected for in the first place?
I prefer living in todays world than the one from 40,000 years ago, but I accept the fact we are getting dumber. It's just how it is.
Also, just because there's new technology (that builds on top of older knowledge) doesn't mean we are getting smarter (in case that's what you believe, because a lot of people seem to have these kinds of ideas, especially when they hear about stuff like going to mars).
