That's just not true. Fiber is what slows down digestion along with being a lubricant. Without fiber your body can't modulate itself and will pass stuff not fully digested. Soluble fiber is always best btw.

You literally can't digest fiber, so adding vegetables only adds to undigested bulk. I'm not recommending cutting fiber, but people who go to meat only diets produce little stool.

I always thought insoluble fiber was what was actually important because it forms the mass that helps solids move through your intestines. Soluble fiber I was always unsure of. Is it beneficial because it modulates the concentration of other carbs that are water soluble?
