A god dam is a dam that is divine. It can never break through, it can never fail and can contain any kind of liquid in infinite quantities for eternity. It can even adapt to the terrain as the tectonic plates shift, subduct and are created from volcanic ridge-zones, as the weather and other forces erode and uplift the terrain. Even after the destruction of the planet and the stellar system it resides in, it will continue to exist.
A regular dam does none of these things.
