What's the healthiest type of honey?
I eat greek yoghurt with cocoa powder so the addition of honey is necessary.

A lot of honey is faked, made from sugar and various additions in a lab but sold for the price of the genuine article. A lot of foodstuff is fake, olive oil and orange juice are the best known ones. This is a huge industry.

Something like Manuka honey has anti-bacterial properties but that is topical application, not for consumption.

Why would it be unhealthy? I'd understand that sugar in high quantitites is unhealthy, but in small quantities I'd argue otherwise.

In actual, not supermarket tier honey, you have like 1% of honey mass that is not sugar, but other beneficial substances, vitamins etc. It is little but it's something.

In your supermarket tier sugar, you might instead have some 1% of stuff that is not sugar and actually bad for you, coming from the industrial processes

It actually varies from hive to hive and from time of year to time of year, and varies based on temperature.

Some honey will be very runny and liquid at the time of extraction, some will be very thick.

If you get store bought honey and it's liquid that's a bad sign though and it probably is adulterated with sugar water.

Natural honey extracted from comb can vary in consistency though.

Depends on external temp, I am saying when you walk into a grocety store and it is 20°c if the honey flows it is cut with sugar water.

Moreso since a product in a grocery store is going to be like a standardized thing whereas natural honey you get from an apiary will be more variable with temperature and season and a bunch of other things.

What is less mentioned is that many bugs (insects and spiders) are full of bacteria such as helicobacter pylori. Even honey can go bad, there is a very good reason why honey should NOT be given to babies.
