It's even worse if you actually look into it: the reason they can't tell you is that the methods being used haven't even been approved by the FDA, so federal regulations bar them from being used to diagnose anything. They just use it for the fake stats.

They aren't gonna go out of their way to sequence the RNA and find out which variant that is. Your doctor or the lab that examined your sample isn't going to submit the sample for RT-PCR and the slew of other things needed to sequence the RNA in order to find out the strain.

No they aren't. They don't do those extended tests to begin with. All of the methods that were originally used to sequence covid are absolutely valid. The way that Pfizer made their vaccine used the same technology and the FDA approved it. Your doctor's office isn't gonna "submit your sample for sequencing" probably because they don't have the time, equipment or any necessity to do that.
