Are there common traits amongst the highly intelligent people? Are there any behaviors/personality characteristics that are correlated with high IQ?
Please provide actual research on this topic. I don't want these Buzzfeed-like articles of lists with items like "they are messy" or "they have a sense of humor" etc. Not to say these lists might not contain what I'm looking for but they are made for entertainment and what not. I'm looking for more in depth articles.

If highly intelligent people seem to encounter similar obstacles in their development doesn't that mean they might develop some similar traits?
