Hey /sci/, I have a question about ferrofluid.
I want to make a liquid clock, and originally I was planning on doing it with a series of electromagnets and relays, and ferrofluid. Turning on the electromagnets I needed to make the numbers I needed. While talking with a friend of mine, he suggested that I invert the principle. Fill a pane with ferrofluid, and use reverse polarity to push the fluid away, forming a negative.
Does ferrofluid work like this? I did a few minutes of research, but it seems like everyone is more interested in spikes than it's actual behavior.
