>>13551491This is very similar to how the FDA was lobbied to approve Addyi, among other drugs. Although in this case, the vaccines do show effectiveness, they have not been properly demonstrated to be safe -- just "relatively" safer than getting the actual disease -- which is odd as the mRNA vaxes do not contain any of the virus to begin with and so shouldn't be causing ANY disease-related symptoms at all.
However, that hasn't stopped some politicians and the anti-anti-vaxxer crowd from screeching that it needs to be forcibly injected into everyone, even those who the virus poses very little risk to in the first place, so that we can "end" the pandemic, even though the virus still obviously infects vaccinated people and can still use them to spread and thus "ending" the pandemic through vaccination with these drugs is highly unlikely at best.
